Fish in the Wind

I call this one Franklin, though I am not sure why. His name. This is an old piece, these are old photos, and yet they still cheer me up.

As a wind chime, this fish doesn't exactly move in less than a half-gale, but the shells and metal rods hanging beneath him do sway and make a shall-we-say subtle music.

Sculpture mix: the balloon method, as I know it. (You make a hollow ball of clay with one hole, blow into the ball to round it more fully, and fill that hole quickly. In this case, add fins, eyes, teeth. Let dry to leather-hard, and then carve and such as you like.)
