Glitter Palace
Sea anemones at Lover's Point, Pacific Grove, CA.
Protection from predators and from desiccation; in the latter case, the shiny bits of shell and rock particles reflect or deflect the harsh rays of the sun as the sea anemones are exposed with the falling of the tide.
