Silly thoughts: 

I am aging faster than I expected; the years really mean something. My neck looks old, mate. 

(Getting older seems to invoke Peter O'Toole, Ringo Starr, and the Rolling Stones.)

I don't mind looking older because I was raised on English actors who wore their scars and lines (and eventually wrinkles) as badges of honor. In that regard, I have always been ready to be older. 

And yet, right? I didn't expect to be 63.5 just yet. Right?

Still, knock on wood. Glad to be here (still).

Feeling lucky.

Also, I only discovered this voyaging-adventure book because of social media, a Dorothy Dunnett fan group.  A win this time.
