 I think I took these shots at about 9 or 9:30 a.m. when the sun is usually blazing or at least the marine layer allows enough light so that we know the day has well begun.

I like this photo, though I wish I'd kept to a level horizon.

Even if the horizon-line had been, truly horizontal, I do think the composition would still lean a bit, pull down a bit, on our right here.  The different weights of the objects (and different colors) motivated me here.
